Before You Begin
To use RENDR, you’ll need:
A compatible LiDAR-enabled iPhone or iPad
A RENDR account
The latest version of the RENDR app
Adequate lighting throughout the space
You can continue working on your projects from any web browser at:
Create a Project
After signing in:
Create a new project.
Add one or more spaces.
Open the space you want to scan.
Each floor or separate area should generally be captured as its own space.
Capture Your First Space
To begin scanning:
Open the space.
Tap Capture Space.
Complete the calibration prompts.
Begin walking through the space.
For the best results:
Walk at a slow, steady pace.
Hold the device comfortably in front of you.
Keep the camera as level as possible.
Move continuously through connected rooms.
Ensure walls, windows, and doors remain visible.
Scan each floor of a building separately.
There is no need to repeatedly scan walls that have already been captured.
Good lighting and smooth movement will generally produce the best results.
Review Your Project
When scanning is complete, RENDR automatically generates your project documentation.
Each project includes:
Floor plans
Wall elevations
Room information
Measurements
Photos
Detected objects
Take a few moments to review your project before leaving the job site.
Refine Your Floor Plan with Flex
Every project can be refined using RENDR Flex.
Flex allows you to make adjustments without rescanning.

Edit flooring areas
Move, rotate, and resize objects
Review room parameters
View wall and room elevations
Switch between 2D and 3D views
Add markup, notes, symbols, and custom dimensions

Add Photos & Markup
RENDR helps document more than just measurements.
Projects can include:
Job-site photos
Text annotations

Symbols
Custom dimensions
Pinned notes (where available)
Keeping photos and markup with the floor plan creates a complete record of existing conditions for everyone working on the project.
