Troubleshooting Sync Issues

This article helps troubleshoot common syncing errors due to sharing logins, being logged in on multiple devices, and closing the app before information has fully synced.

If your scan isn’t syncing, follow the steps below.

Step 1 — What does your cloud icon look like?

✅ Green cloud with a checkmark

Your scan is fully backed up.

No action is needed.

If you’re missing edits on another device, try pulling down to refresh or reopening the app on that device.

🔴 Red cloud with a slash

Your scan hasn’t uploaded yet.

➡️ Continue to Step 2


🔴 Red cloud with a checkmark

Your scan is already backed up, but newer edits haven’t synced.

➡️ Continue to Step 2


🟢 Green cloud with a slash

The app believes the scan is synced, but the scan file hasn’t been confirmed in the cloud yet.

This is usually temporary.

Wait about 30 seconds.

If the icon doesn’t change…

➡️ Continue to Step 2

🔄 Spinning icon

Your scan is actively syncing.

Wait a few moments.

If it continues spinning for several minutes…

➡️ Continue to Step 2

Step 2 — Are you connected to the internet?

YES

Continue to Step 3


NO

Reconnect to Wi-Fi or cellular service.

RENDR will automatically resume syncing once you’re back online.

Once connected, continue to Step 3.

Step 3 — Try these quick fixes

After each step, check whether the cloud icon changes to a green cloud with a checkmark.

✓ Pull down to refresh

This tells RENDR to check for any pending uploads.

Did it sync?

  • Yes → You’re done.

  • No → Continue below.


✓ Tap the cloud icon

Tap the cloud icon next to the scan to manually start syncing.

Did it sync?

  • Yes → You’re done.

  • No → Continue below.


✓ Leave the app open

Large scans and projects with many photos can take a little longer to upload.

Keep RENDR open for a few minutes.

Did it finish?

  • Yes → You’re done.

  • No → Continue below.


✓ Close and reopen RENDR

When the app launches, it automatically resumes syncing.

Did it sync?

  • Yes → You’re done.

  • No → Continue to Step 4.

Step 4 — What is happening now?

My scan is still red.

Your scan still hasn’t uploaded.

Contact RENDR Support.


My scan is still spinning.

The upload appears to be stuck.

Contact RENDR Support.


My scan is still a green cloud with a slash.

The scan file hasn’t been confirmed in the cloud.

My scan is still a red cloud with a checkmark.

Your latest edits haven’t synced.

Contact RENDR Support.


I keep seeing “Save Failed.”

My photo never finishes downloading.

Before You Contact Support

Please send us:

  • The name of the scan

  • A screenshot of the cloud icon

  • Whether you were online or offline when you captured or edited the scan

  • Which troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried

This helps us diagnose the problem much more quickly.

⚠️ Important

Do not sign out, switch accounts, or uninstall the app until your scan shows a green cloud with a checkmark.

Your scan is safely stored on your device while it’s waiting to upload, but if it hasn’t finished syncing yet, removing the app or signing out could result in unsynced work being lost.
