Accessing the Web App

To begin using RENDR on the desktop, you need to access the web app through a web browser. You can log in to your account by entering your email and password on the login page. A 'Forgot Password' option is available if needed. (Note: One source mentioned the URL structure was being improved, with the authenticated view accessible at web.accounts.login and a future goal to redirect the main page there).

Dashboard and Project Management

Upon logging in, you will arrive at your project dashboard. This is where you can view all your projects. The dashboard allows you to access your scans and explore the spaces and elevations captured within them. It's designed to keep your workflow smooth and efficient and is considered a significant workflow enhancement for modern home improvement businesses.

  • Within the dashboard, you can see your own projects.

  • If you are an Admin, you have the ability to view and sort projects by different users on your team.

Space Overview

The web app provides access to the detailed space overview for each scanned area. Each space contains a wealth of useful information:

  • You can view floor plans, which are also printable.

  • Access wall elevations, which display dimensions and feature placement.

  • View photos associated with the scan.

Account and Team Management

Managing your RENDR account and team is made simple through the web app. You can add or remove team members as needed. The platform also allows you to update your subscription and make changes to your settings. This offers straightforward control over your team's access. Additional account management functions include managing the number of seats, billing information, and information regarding promo discounts. (Note: An older source indicated that the process for creating users was something being reviewed for potential confusion).

Integrations

The web app includes an integrations page, making it easy to sync RENDR with your preferred design or estimating software. RENDR is committed to integrating with software used by professionals to streamline your workflow. You can sync project data, including photos, plans, and parameters, directly into integrated platforms like JobTread and Buildxact, allowing for rapid estimate creation. Knowledge base resources are available on exporting floor plans for specific software such as JobTread, Chief Architect, Buildxact, and 2020.

Exports

Accessing your scan data within the web app provides you with various export options. You can generate a PDF of your space, which is a valuable tool for adding digital markups or notes, including capturing critical on-site dimensions. Access to your scan data also allows you to export for use in CAD software.

Invite to Capture from the Web App

The convenient and time-saving Invite to Capture feature, which enables you to remotely request a scan from a client or project manager, can be initiated directly from the web app dashboard. This powerful feature allows any user within your organization to invite homeowners to scan a space without needing to open the RENDR mobile app. To use this, locate the "Invite Others to Scan" option, typically found on your project dashboard or within a project. You will need to enter the name and email address of the person you wish to invite and then send the invitation. Once the invited person completes the scan using their compatible iOS device, the scan data, including the floor plan and any photos, will automatically appear in your RENDR account and, if applicable, within the associated job in JobTread.

Key Benefits of Using the Web App

In summary, the RENDR web app centralizes access to your scan data and management tools. It provides you with everything you need to analyze, document, and share your space, facilitating team management, software integrations, data exports, and the initiation of remote scans, all from your desktop.

Coming Soon Features (Web App)

RENDR is continuously developing the web app. Anticipated future features include:

  • Report: Room-based parameters and general takeoff reports will soon be available on the web app, allowing users to access critical estimate data, and even export the reports in .csv format.

  • Invite Reminders: The system will help you track open invite-to-captures and automatically send gentle nudges to homeowners to encourage completion of the scan.
