How to Use Invite to Capture from the RENDR Mobile App:
Open the RENDR App: Launch the RENDR application on your iOS Pro device (iPhone Pro or iPad Pro with LiDAR).
Navigate to the Invite to Capture Feature: Within the app, locate and select the "Invite to Capture" option. This might be accessible from the main dashboard or within a specific project or space management section.
Enter Invitee Information: You will be prompted to enter the email address of the person you wish to invite to scan the space. Ensure you have the correct email address. You may also be able to enter their name.
Send the Invite: Once the information is entered, tap the "send" button to send the invitation. You have the option to include a personalized message with the invite. This link that gets sent to the homeowner doesn't expire, so don't worry if they receive this when they are not at home.
Homeowner/Project Manager Scans: The invitee will receive an email containing a link. This link will guide them through the process of downloading the RENDR app (if they don't already have it) and initiate the scan. The app will prompt them to scan the space using their iOS device by slowly walking around and capturing all relevant areas. They do not need to stop scanning when moving between rooms; they can simply walk through doorways.
Scan Data Appears in Your Account: Once the scan is complete, the data will be uploaded to your RENDR account. You will receive a notification via email when the invitee has completed the scan. The scanned space, including floor plans, dimensions, and any photos that were uploaded from the invitee, will be available in your account.
How to Use Invite to Capture from the RENDR Web App (Desktop):
Access the RENDR Web App: Open your web browser and navigate to the RENDR web app login page.
Log In: Enter your email and password to access your account.
Navigate to Your Project Dashboard: Once logged in, you will see your project dashboard.
Select a Project (Optional): You may want to organize your scans within specific projects. Select the relevant project. If you don't have a project, you can create one.
Locate the "Invite Others to Scan" Option: Within the project or the main dashboard, look for an option like "Invite Others to Scan".
Enter Invitee Information: Enter the name and email address of the person you wish to invite.
Send the Invite: Click the "send" button to send the invitation.
Scan Data Appears in Your Account: Once the invitee completes the scan using the RENDR mobile app, the data will appear within your account, associated with the project (if you selected one).
After the Scan is Completed:
The completed scan will be accessible in your RENDR account through both the mobile and web apps.
You can view the floor plan, elevations, and any photos taken by the invitee.
You can then utilize the scan data for various purposes, such as generating PDF reports, exporting to CAD software like Chief Architect or 2020, and if integrated, syncing parameters with estimating tools like JobTread.
