When you scan a space in RENDR, it doesn’t have to be assigned to a project right away. You can organize your work anytime by adding spaces to a project later.
This guide walks you through where to find your spaces and how to add them to a project.
Understanding Projects vs. Spaces
Before getting started, it’s important to understand the difference:
Projects Tab
Displays all your projects. Each project groups together one or more spaces.Spaces Tab
Displays a list of all spaces you’ve scanned.
Note:
On iOS, you will only see spaces scanned by the logged-in user.
On Web, team managers, project managers, and admins may see spaces across the entire company. (Learn more about user roles here)
How to Add a Space to a Project
There are two ways to add spaces to a project:
Method 1: Add Spaces While Creating a Project
From the main dashboard, tap the blue “+” button
Select New Project
Create your project
Tap Add Spaces
Select From Existing
Choose one or more spaces from the list
Spaces are ordered from newest to oldest
Confirm your selection to add them to the project
Method 2: Add a Space from the Spaces Tab
Go to the Spaces Tab
Scroll to find the space you want
Press and hold the space tile
Tap Add to Project
Select the project you want to add it to
FAQs
❓ I can’t find my space — where is it?
Most of the time, this happens because the space was not added to a project yet.
Go to the Spaces Tab
Look for your scan in the list (sorted by newest first)
Important:
On iOS, you will only see spaces scanned by your account
On Web, your role may allow you to see spaces from your entire team
If you still don’t see it:
Make sure you’re logged into the correct account
Check the most recent scans first
❓ How do I add a space to a project?
You have two options:
During project creation → Add from existing spaces
From the Spaces tab → Press and hold a space and select Add to Project
Both methods accomplish the same thing—use whichever is faster for your workflow.
❓ Can I add multiple spaces to a project at once?
Yes.
When creating a project and selecting From Existing, you can choose multiple spaces at the same time before adding them.
❓ Why don’t I see other team members’ spaces on my phone?
On iOS, you only see spaces that you scanned.
To view team-wide spaces:
Use the Web App (if you have the correct permissions)
Best Practice
We recommend organizing spaces into projects as soon as possible to keep your workflow clean and easy to navigate.
Think of it like this:
Spaces = individual rooms or scans
Projects = the full job
